appleseed 1.1.0 alpha-3 Released

We just released appleseed 1.1.0 alpha-3. The major new feature of this release is the possibility to compose a scene from within appleseed.studio. It's not complete, but the most important bits (importing textures and geometry, creating and assigning materials) are in place. Read more...

appleseed and Structure Synth

appleseed 1.1.0 alpha-2 contains an export template for Structure Synth that allows to render Structure Synth scenes with appleseed. Unfortunately, in order to support this template, some changes were needed in Structure Synth itself and, as of today, these changes haven't made their way into an official Structure Synth release. The appleseedhq site has experienced an extended downtime, from Tuesday 10th around mid-day until this morning (Friday 13th).
